DIGITAL PROGRAMMING

With the forced shift to at-home arts experiences in 2020, we got a glimpse at some of the tools and possibilities of streaming as a delivery mechanism for arts programming. The realm of digital programming has become an intrinsic component of arts organizations' season planning, and an exciting opportunity to capture the imagination of new and younger audiences.

 

Sara Nealy became Executive Director of Kahilu Theatre in the heart of Hawai'i Island in 2021. The theatre had recently launched Kahilu.TV, a Vimeo OTT platform for streaming. Since the launch, subscribers and community members have been able to enjoy a wide variety of performances, from Hawaiian artists to jazz, classical, dance, as well as educational programs, and programs on the artists in our galleries and community.
